It is with great sadness that I have to tell you that my great friend Tiggy has died.
I don’t think that my family realised that I was such good friends with her. But when we are left together in the house for lengthy periods, what would you expect other than we strike up a great friendship?
It is a little-known fact that Teddy bears and pussy cats speak different dialects of the same language. So, we could hold all sorts of conversations without our humans listening in.
I say our humans. Tiggy would let me know in no uncertain terms that they were her humans and she merely tolerated me associating with them. Luckily, she had no desire to go on holiday with them – in fact when she was younger she enjoyed her stay in the cat hotel they booked her into because she was so pampered there. But, as she aged, she just liked to stay at home, which she was able to do because the kind next-door humans would pop in to feed her.
Tiggy was 18 when she passed away. Not a bad age for a cat. She had a good life, and was much loved by the entire family.

RIP Tiggy 2008-2026
